Getting Here
A 10-minute voyage on a vintage ferry is an integral part of the Gibraltar Point experience. The Toronto Island Ferry can be boarded at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, at the southern end of Bay Street and Queen’s Quay. Take the ferry headed for Hanlan’s Point for the dock closest to Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts.
Located on Toronto Island getting to Gibraltar Point takes some planning and time. Prepare yourself according to weather and length of stay. Below are some helpful tips to get to and around the island during your visit!
By Public Transit
Jack Layton Ferry Terminal is a 10-minute walk south from Union Subway Station. You can also take the 509/510 streetcars to Queens Quay (Toronto Island Ferry
Docks) or the #6 Bay bus south to Queens Quay.
By Car
There is no parking or car access to Toronto Island. Cars must be parked on the mainland prior to travel to the centre.
Short term and long term options are available along Queens Quay, Harbour Street and Bay Street. Contact lots directly for availability and rates.

Note: From October to April, the Toronto Ferry service operates mainly to Ward’s Island according to its Winter Schedule.
